TYPHOONS!
November 30, 2004 Update
We are still being hammered by the remnants of Typhoon 'Winnie', in which nearly 500 persons died or disappeared overnight. Although this unexpected typhoon was extremely destructive, it is the storm which is now approaching that has us really concerned. The second 'monstor typhoon' of the year is now approaching Yap, and is on a direct collision path with the Philippines. The size of this enormous typhoon may surpass that of record Typhoon Tokage, which was the largest storm in recorded history. (If you haven't looked at the satellite image, please do so, whereas few have seen a site like this over the last century.) I will keep you updated as things develop, if able. November 29, 2004 Update
The weather in the Philippines has been fierce this week, and it appears that yet another typhoon has just developed dead-center over our heads in the capital island of Luzon. If you look at satellite images of the Pacific, you will notice that a second typhoon of monster size is developing, which could easily form into the second record-breaking-sized typhoon this year. Storms of this size seem to leave a trail of seismic-havoc in the Pacific. Within the last 48 hours, we have already seen two 7.0+ earthquakes (7.2 in Papua, and 7.0 Hokkaido). Keep a close eye on the Pacific this week. I was hoping to get caught up on answering emails today, but it looks like I'm going to have to head home before the roads get too flooded, whereas the sky is now black and torrential rain is coming down so thick that you cannot even see the buildings across the street. But before I leave, I would like share a dream I had last night about the president. I was in a room standing in front of President Bush and his wife, and noticed that they were very well dressed, preparing to attend a meeting. I approached the president and whispered in his ear, "Cancel all your engagements for the "2nd", and explained to him that we had received intelligence that a physical attack was being planned against him. When I awoke, I looked at my calendar and noticed that December 2nd is only days away. Continue to pray for the safety President. Was the "2nd" in the dream referring to December 2nd? Or perhaps January 2nd? I am not sure, but there was a clear urgency to continue interceding for the safety of the president and his entire family. Blessings, Timothy Snodgrass Philippines

Much Appreciated Help Given to Florida Hurricane Victims -- THANKS TO
YOU!
@ -- October 27, 2004 -- My son Warren who lives in Hollywood Florida went to
Arcadia, Florida two weekends ago to distribute the items that so
many of you donated through your kind generosity.
He and his brother Bruce loaded up his truck with anything of use anyone could donate. He figured that Punta
Gorda, a relatively affluent town, has gotten all the media press, but
Arcadia, a lovely little town with a lot of poorer people, needed help
too. He's right. He and his family including his four precious adopted children,
my grandchildren, two boys, two girls are familiar with the area as they go camping
frequently in the woods near the banks of the Peace River in that area.
We who went through Hurricane Andrew remember how absolutely horrible it was and how much help was
appreciated.
Canned goods, can openers, paper plates, plastic utensils,
garbage bags, bug spray, soap, shampoo, sanitary supplies, paper towels,
napkins, tissues, diapers, bug spray, water, etc, etc. and money
donations were donated by many and very much appreciated. He bought more supplies with
the donated money. In 1992, he loaded up his truck after Hurricane Andrew
in 1992 and came down here in Cutler Ridge, and Homestead Florida-- and every
last bit came in useful to
so many people. This time he, his brother Bruce, and his sons Jonathan and Mikey
went with him to Arcadia, and Eau Gallie. He found two churches that were staffed and the
sweet Mexican nuns were so happy to receive donations and distribute them among the poor
migrant workers that had been ravaged by these hurricanes. Also Warren and Bruce personally
distributed items to many poor residents that were still there in trailer parks. Warren
said that quite a few of the migrants just picked up and left after the first hurricane
because they had nothing left. Many of the permanent residents had to move elsewhere while
awaiting repairs. Warren took many photos, which I will eventually publish here and in them
you can get an idea of how deserted it had become. Downtown Arcadia was not too damaged,
but looked like a ghost town. As Warren said, "It was no Andrew."
!
I volunteered
to be a pick-up station. I don't mind because I can remember how much help
was needed and appreciated in the months following Hurricane Andrew.

Hurricane Relief trip to Arcadia is delayed yet again.
Arcadia is flooded
right now! Warren is planning for weekend after
next to make the trip. As he says, "Things just
keep popping up! -- Like Hurricanes Jeanne and Lisa!" which likely
will cause him to have to stay and protect his family once or twice again!
In the past couple of weeks, his brother Bruce bought hurricane panels in
Marathon, Florida and took them down to their Grandmother Lilleen's house in
Key West, where they installed them. This should save time and money for the
next one.. and it appears there WILL BE MORE.
@ -- Sept. 9, 2004 11:32 PM -- Hurricane Charley
relief trip delayed again -- because of Hurricanes Frances and
Ivan
Dear wonderful
contributors to my sons Warren and Bruce's trip to Arcadia for Hurricane
Charley victims..dear friends and family, dear prayer
partners.
As you know, we have
yet a THIRD Hurricane, Ivan, threatening Florida. At this point,
it looks like it's going to do serious damage starting in Key West this
weekend. Right now, it looks like it's heading straight for
Jamaica.
Warren and Bruce,
another of my sons (he lives next door to me!) went down this evening to Key
West to board up (again) my mom Lilleen's house and help my sisters there,
too. Both Bruce and Warren refused money that Roy pulled out of
savings to give them for gas, etc. It costs them in lost work time and gas
money so they are footing the gas money and losing money themselves.. but they
love their grandmother and family. Grandmom may reimburse them for the
plywood. Grandson Josh (age 24) could not get off from work at
his new job. They may be able to find some plywood in the Florida Keys in
Marathon Home Depot. Hopefully there will be some left by the time they
drive through. Then they will come back to the Florida mainland and
board up my daughter's house, and other family members. Warren has 4
adopted children, and will have to protect them and property this weekend as
he's in South Florida too (Hollywood Florida). He still fully intends to
go to Arcadia for the hurricane Charley victims but now it looks like another
week..... may be more damage from Frances and Ivan everywhere! Roy and I
have to leave on a long ago planned trip tomorrow morning. Lorrie my
daughter, and Bruce will close up our house shutters and bring our cats and
turtle inside. Also the potted plants and orchids. I hope we can
check the internet and updates from the hotels' computers! We will be back
to Miami on the 18th.
Please keep Florida
covered with prayers.
God bless and thanks
to all!
Dee
@ -- Sept. 8 -- Ivan the Terrible makes a Right Turn Endangering Florida .
"As with Frances, forecasters again are faced
with computer models that sharply disagree on Ivan's future track. Some models
take it into the Gulf of Mexico close to the Gulf Coast. Some aim it east of the
state, paralleling the coastline and heading north.
``The track is
changing all the time,''
Pralgo said. ``We're trying to keep it steady. If we go
with the models, we'll be going back and forth like a windshield
wiper.''
